Vision and Mission of the Foundation

Mission

The Fundação Fernando Leite Couto will work with various relevant actors in the cultural sector, helping to promote a wide range of activities in the specific field of literature and, more generally, in the wider fields of arts and culture.

Objectives

Fundação Fernando Leite Couto aims to promote the development of cultural, educational, artistic and philanthropic activities, with particular emphasis on literature, and is committed to supporting young Mozambicans talents. The main objectives of the interventions of the Foundation are:

• Promote literature and provide support to new generations of Mozambican authors;
• Promote and sponsor training, workshops and discussions on subjects such as literature, arts and culture through the organization of conferences, seminars, debates and symposia;
• Support and encourage cultural initiatives and activities in order to spread Mozambican Literature, Arts and Culture;
• Set up and organize the Library of the Foundation that provides free access to information and supports other libraries in Mozambique.
